If I were you I'd rename this piece to "A Modest Proposal."

For those wondering, it's an essay by Jonathan's Swift. A hilarious satire.

Hey folks,
thank you all for the likes, faves, comments and thanks for the DD.
After reading the comments i often got faced with the question: "what's the meat thing?"
Well, i'm painting meat and blood on children/with children to show in how kinda world the childhood tries to survive.
Society wants the kids to grow up fast asap, just to integrate them as another wheel that has to work, cause the world has to function.
They send you to schools just to teach you how hard you gotta work, what you gotta do, every word they spit out is about work, future, work, future.
Me as a child, i never wanted to grow up, still don't.
Im trying to paint this by showing you that children got faced subconscious rituals. I paint a kid that has blood on it's face to show the cross over
from childhood to adulthood, this is a ritual, everything is about rituals. Chocolate turns to meat, milk turns to blood, you get adult by concluding rituals.
So, roughly said, the meat and blood is a symbol for adulthood in my work, in contrast stays the childhood.
But actually in art, it's not that necessary to know what the artist means, cause by trying to interpret, new ideas, new views coming out,
the painting gets new energy loaded, that's what art needs.
So thank you all for your interpretations and interest about my work. If you can, you're welcome to visit my next show in Galerie Wolfsen/Denmark in october.

Best,
v

That's an inspiring quote right there, that last sentence. Thank you for taking the time to explain your motives and vision Volkano!
